Why are we not hearing an endless loop of John McCain's clergy buddy's statements over and over and over and over and over??

17. there you go. Crazy white preachers are folksy, quirky,
adorable characters who sometimes get a little odd in their sermons. But they love Jesus and their hearts are in the right place; they're just tending their rigtheous flocks. If they meander into strange territory when they get wound up on Sunday or Wednesday, just wink at your neighbor, watch her roll her eyes and pass up your envelope at the proper time.

Crazy black preachers are scary and need to be exposed.

Sick, isn't it.

6. Because it's only crazy BLACK preachers who are worthy of any attention
nevermind that this Hagee clown is a multimillionaire and has probably ten times the influence as "crazy" Pastor Wright.

8. Because Sean Hannity hasn't told Stephanopoulos to play it.
Hannity and the reich wing control the "over and over" bit. The passive media just follows.

12. Also, he's rantin on the Jews
I suspect they don't want to get an angry letter from the anti-defamation league complaining that they're giving him a free platform.

13. The difference is fear
From today's New York Times...

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/22/us/politics/22jewish.html?pagewanted=2&_r=1

Jack Stern, 85, sitting alone at an outdoor café in Aventura on Sunday, said he was no racist. When he was liberated from a concentration camp in 1945, black American soldiers were kinder than white ones, handing out food to the emaciated Jews, he said.

Years later, after he opened a bakery in Brooklyn, “I got disgusted, because they killed Jews,” he said, citing neighborhood crimes committed by African-Americans. “I shouldn’t say it, but it is what it is,” said Mr. Stern, who vowed not to vote for Mr. Obama.

Hagee and Wright have both said things that offend some people. The difference is that Hagee doesn't scare anyone. Wright is being used by the media and the Republicans to scare the living shit out of older white voters. It's the same thing they did with Willie Horton. The Willie Horton incident was initially just viewed as an unfortunate screw up by Dukakis that may have cost him a few votes but wasn't going to cost him the election. Lee Atwater used the incident to scare white people in to believing that Dukakis would let scary black people out of prison to come rape and murder them.

Fortunately this is 2008 not 1988 and Obama is still polling ahead of McGramps despite scared white people refusing to vote for him.

16. Because Hillary's drama queen routine is keeping them distracted?
Once this circus is off the stage, it will be time to FORCE the media to cover Grandpa McLoon's problems. And Hagee is a HUGH one!111!!!

18. Because white fears of black people appeal to deep seated beliefs.
It is what it is.

Black people can't even be taken seriously enough to get an anchor spot somewhere so they can get report on it like Andrea Mitchell has chosen to broadcast Clinton's concerns. Why should our outrage matter with this Hagee treatment?

For the one or two people of color out there, they can barely get the fair question asked to them. The questions about racial objectification is left to other white panelists.

It is annoying to hear so called Hillary feminists discuss how sensitive of or aware on race the media is. What is their standard based on? The number of journalists covering the stories? The number of television journalists occupying the driving seats? Maybe the number of people who shape the story the news presents nightly.

No, why should we complain? Who would care?
