That's one good thing about this primary. I can discuss politics with my Republican friends. OF course, I can no longer discuss them with some of our Democrat friends.

6. Clark or Richardson
Both bring loads of foreign policy experience. Clark brings a Southern background, and Richardson is Hispanic. Both would be excellent choices because they would help bring in votes as well as being an asset to the Administration.

But, Webb is apparently off limits I guess since he has had three wives and wrote an article in 1979, so Hillary supporters would go for champion of feminist rights John McCain if Webb ever dared go on the ticket.

42. Schweizer, Richardson, Clark or Webb
Whoever can best help Barack win. If the attack of the day from McCain, slamming Obama's lack of military service is going to be the constant slime--Clark or Webb might be appropriate.

But if we are assured the surrogates can make McCain sweat on those attacks--then Schweitzer or Richardson would be a bold pitch to the West or Hispanics.

Schweitzer would be a fascinating pick--stealing the NRA thunder and tying it to personal rights and freedoms.

Are you saying Boxer is more or less liberal than he?

(For the record, I don't agree with the Repugs. To me, Obama is fairly mainstream.)

69. Obama is running as a moderate.
He is perceived as slightly left of Hillary, but the only differences are minuscule except for that perception. He is hardly a radical leftist and poses no real threat to the system.

What he does offer is the opportunity for the left to have some influence. Unlike the Clintons, who's agenda was to "triangulate" the party to the right.

That little GI bill modification he authored is going to play HUGE with all the veterans, too, you know, the one Mccain just voted against.

He puts McCain to shame in terms of the "lower working class white voter" (wink wink).

Let him go work Appalachia for a little while.
