Evelyn Pringle's articles at Scoop on the "web of corruption leading to Obama's rise to power"
I'll post the links below. This is from the start of the first article:

The most trusted leaders of the Democratic party, such as John Kerry and Ted Kennedy, ought to be ashamed of themselves for supporting Barack Obama. With use of the internet, a fifth grader could connect the dots to show a picture of a guy who was picked up in college and carried up the political ladder by a corrupt gang of influence peddlers.

John McCain is just drooling waiting for Obama to become the nominee so that he can come out with the trail of dirt that the Democratic party is too afraid to reveal this late in the in the game. If nominated, Obama will not survive a month when faced with the Republican attack machine.

If he becomes the nominee, the web of corruption leading to Obama's rise to power that this investigative journalist was able to untangle in less than three weeks, will be front page news right up until election day, handing the Republicans their only chance in hell of winning the White House.

Scoop describes Pringle as "a columnist for OpEd News and an investigative journalist focused on exposing corruption in government and corporate America." You can find a number of her older articles on other subjects here at DU. DUers seem to have taken her articles pretty seriously in the past, so it's interesting that there's been so little mention of what she turned up about Obama's background.

1. I've read her stuff. IT's crap. IMHO it has always been crap.
Just because she's written anti-corporate stuff doesn't mean it's any good. Look at all that garbage on prisonplanet.com or rense.com.

24. At least one article she wrote made the DU home page and EarlG posted about it at the time.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x2256265

That was a few years ago and had nothing to do with Obama, obviously. I'm guessing he's an Obama supporter and would not like her current series of articles, and I'm not suggesting he would.

The point is that whatever you think of Evelyn Pringle's work, some people here have liked at least some of it.

After seeing Krugman and Lyons and anyone else who dares say anything skeptical about Obama thrown under the bus by Obama supporters, I wouldn't expect anything different with this series at Scoop.

Must have known, could not have not known, probably will, etc.

If there were something wrong, would it not have been discovered during the Rezko trial.

Looks like a hit job.

Do you think Hillary needs to know about this? Like - RIGHT AWAY!!!!

You know, the MSM didn't cover this for a reason, just like they didn't cover Hillary's gay love affairs, or Obama's gay love affairs, or their love child, if there was one. Was there? You'd probably know.

32. Obama is safe unless it can be summarized into somethinng much shorter than that.
Edited on Thu May-22-08 10:22 PM by McCamy Taylor
The American public is never going to read that many articles---unless the GOP gets the MSM to start spoon feeding it to them. Is there a tape recording? A transcript? A photo? Video? Unless they can come up with that, Obama can talk his way out of it.

As for money scandal, who says that Democratic leadership gives a rat's ass if the nominee is connected with the mob or dirty money or any kind of corruption in Chicago? Having powerful, corrupt, ruthless friends might make Obama seem like a stronger candidate than Clinton who is currently broke. They might figure his buddies at the top will be quicker to close ranks and send out suitcases of cash behind the scenes to take care of unexpected problems. That is the way politics really works. We all know that the new kind of politics talk is just for the rubes at home.

36. A Chicago Tribune columnist thought the GOP might be able to use it against Obama.
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/columnists/chi-kass_bd11may11,0,4134722.column

Not the politics, just the corruption, I said then, wishing silently that he had decried it all, that he'd stood up years ago and pointed to the list of sleazy deals, pointed an angry finger at the Duffs, the white, Outfit-connected drinking buddies of Daley who received $100 million in affirmative action contracts through City Hall.

That's an easy political commercial for the Republicans: Mobbed-up white guys party at the old Como Inn with Daley, and they get $100 million in city affirmative action contracts and Daley doesn't know how it happened and Obama endorses the mayor in the name of reform.

Obama had nothing to do with the Duff deal. But he kept mum. He has endorsed Daley, endorsed Daley's hapless stooge Todd Stroger for president of the Cook County Board. These are not the acts of a reformer, but of a guy who, as we say in Chicago, won't make no waves and won't back no losers.

Obama the reformer is backed by Mayor Richard M. Daley and the Daley boys. He is spoken for by Daley's own spokesman, David Axelrod. He was launched into his U.S. Senate by machine power broker and state Senate President Emil Jones (D-ComEd).

For anyone wondering what the D-ComEd after Emil Jones's name refers to, it's this:

http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news&id=4909847

Jones is the sleazy mentor Obama asked to make him a US senator, after which Jones made sure Obama was given the credit for lots of bills other state senators had done most of the work on. I'd thought the bill-jacking was bad enough, but the money trail Pringle's following looks even worse for Obama.

If she's a Democrat without an agenda (bitter Hillary supporter), why isn't she spending her time doing an investigative expose on McCain? Why is she spending so much time spinning BS on Obama?
