Gallup: "Obama clear leader" NYT: "Clinton Running Out of Money" Intrade: BHO/JM - 61
1. Gallup national polls

Obama is establishing himself as the clear leader -- he opened up a double-digit lead five days ago, and has led by at least 11 percentage points each day since then. While he has generally been ahead of Clinton in Gallup Poll Daily tracking since the Feb. 5 Super Tuesday primaries, he never established a consistent, significant lead until the past few days. (To view the complete trend since Jan. 3, 2008, click here.)

Only three contests remain -- the June 1 Puerto Rico primary and June 3 South Dakota and Montana primaries -- leaving Clinton little time to reverse Obama's gaining momentum. Perhaps more consequential than those primaries is the May 31 Democratic Party meeting to decide the fate of the disputed Michigan and Florida convention delegations.

2. Clinton Running Out of Money

http://politicalwire.com/archives/2008/05/22/clinton_running_out_of_money.html

The reports show that Mr. Obama raised nearly $31 million in April, about $10 million more than Mrs. Clinton. While the fund-raising gap narrowed from that of the previous month — in March, he outraised her by $20 million — Mr. Obama remains in a far stronger financial position, with $38 million in cash on hand for the rest of the primaries, compared with $6.3 million for Mrs. Clinton.

Further, Mr. Obama’s organization has outstanding debts of only $2 million, money it must pay to vendors for campaign expenses. By comparison, Mrs. Clinton began May with campaign debts of $9.5 million. And that is on top of $11.4 million she herself has lent her campaign, with $5 million of that coming in April and an additional $1.4 million in March.

8. Worst Campaign Fiscal Responsibility EVER.
Hillary's campaign proves she has no flippin' idea how one manages money or people.

9. So obama's buying the election.
He has no message that I'm interested in. He's an empty suit with a sophisticated online fundraising application. He's manufactured on the Internet...with the text messaging crowd, who held a convention slash revival meeting, on a riverbank last Sunday.

I bet every one of them also text'd American Idol for voting too. shallow dingbats

12. He's not buying the election. You're being melodramatic.
His policies are quite similar to Hillary's. And you're being utterly ridiculous about who Obama is and who his supporters are. I'm a middle aged woman with two advanced degrees who doesn't even watch TV. I'm not alone.

If Obama is such a stupid nothing, an empty suit, as you petulantly insist, it's even more pathetic that hillary the great brilliant warrior couldn't unmask and defeat him.

I contribute my piddly amount every time someone says the kind of shit you do. Thanks for the reminder!! I don't watch the boob tube, so I can't relate to your 'empty suit', 'American Idol' bullshit, but I did like the rally!! And, I love the internet!

20. If your refering to Intrade then you have a rather poor understanding of predictions market
The point is that people who are willing to spend money on predicting the future give McCain and Obama the same chance of getting the nomination

In terms of raising money it is obvious that Clinton has more than enough supporters but that they are not really motivated to help her financially. Obama did not out spent her he out raised her.

25. Wow, they are recycling their troll talking points now!
The campaign really must be running out of money!

Seriously - the whole "no message, empty suit" mantra is red-flag #1 that says the poster is either trolling for effect or just plain hasn't done any research.

14. He's imploding!
Clearly, the superdelegates must choose Hillary. Being 11 points ahead for a week is proof that people who own lunch pails won't vote for him.
