For all of you that are promoting this meme that Sen. Obama should accept Hillary as his VP running mate, how do we counter the following Republican ads (because they will come) if she is on the ticket.
... and roll tape...
"I know I have the experience. Sen. McCain has the experience. Sen. Obama has a speech that he made in 2002."
"I think that Sen. Obama's statements were elitist and out of touch."
"I just know that he wouldn't have been my pastor for 20 years."
"Enough with the big speeches, and the rallies..."
... and her trashing moveon.org and every other traditionally Democratic or Progressive cause that has railed against the past 8 years of the current disaster of an administration.
That's just four quotes from the primaries alone, not to mention the excessive amount of baggage that the Clinton brand would bring to the ticket, but this is what happens when blind ambition and pandering reaches the point of absurdity and knee-capping overrules sound judgment. If Sen. Clinton would have taken the high road and at least tried to keep the screws on the kitchen sink over the course of the last two months and would have redirected her energies to Sen. McCain (and not done 1/2 of the GOP's work already), then an Obama/Clinton ticket would be feasible.
The VP decision is about much more than Sen. Clinton, her ambition, and her supporters. It's about defeating the Republicans in November, and thankfully, our nominee figured that out a long time ago.
Now, using the quotes that I have posted above, for all Hillary supporters (and I'm not trying to flame here), how exactly do we defeat those ads that are sure to be run in the general election if she is on the ticket?
