I don't believe Hillary meant to insinuate anything. She's not
stupid enough to make that kind of GAFFE on purpose. She would have to know that if she made a comment like that on purpose, she would be toast.

Well, she fucked it up with that remark, and the gaffe will end it, anyway.

Advice to Obama: Don't say a word. Remember, she didn't defend you when asked about your faith. If you don't take that advice, then chalk it up to "the heat of the campaign" and you say things that don't always come out correctly. Stay on the high road.

28. Bullshit is right... she says she's staying in "just in case"
which means that's what she's counting on apparently...

her team has been insinuating the same for months.
She may not be that stupid but she certainly is that conniving

13. She had to know that such an asanined statement would end
it for her to have done it on purpose. Anyone, she has committed political suicide. I hope we don't turn her into a martyr and thus help revive herself by playing the victim card again.

6. Every word she speaks is done purposefully and carefully planned
You really think she was surprised by a question about why she was still in a race she cannot win and hadn't given her answer to that question some thought in advance?

Why not mention other late primary seasons? Why must she mention the assassination?
Why not say, "We've had other primary seasons that went to June; '92, '84, '68, etc.".

Why always "Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June of 1968"??

Now she's getting pity points from the MSM because she looked "hurt" during her apology. :eyes:

I do give a damn about Obama winning the General Election. The reaction, IMO, while justified, is not helpful.

27. Stupid, no.
Arrogant to the point of short-sightedness, absolutely.

This idea is not new. It has been floated about by Hillary and her surrogates for several weeks. There have been numerous references to something "catastrophic" happening to Obama, but they have explained it away as a reference to a Wright-like scandal. But Hillary's mistake was to use the word "assassination". With that one word, her dog whistle suddenly became audible to everyone.

I'm just trying to think long-term about how our reaction will affect the voters we need to win the General Election.

20. Excellent advise. He needs to unify the party and act presidential
I have little doubt he'll do otherwise. But holding out a hand to Clinton right now will clearly show him to be the right leader at the right time.

22. She's strung-out and losing it. In other situations, I'd agree. I would. However...
...this is the second time (third according to some) where she's used this example and the first where she's intentionally brought up the assassination aspect of it.

She's tired, she knows she's losing and she probably has already been told "No" very politely but firmly by Mr. Obama for the VP seat.

I would agree with you, normally. But if you figure in these conditions, and the stresses she's under it's a more than arguable point.
