2. Thank goodness for Eugene Robinson too - he's calling it on msnbc...
And said her apology added insult to injury since she didn't apologize to Obama.

10. Yeah, Gene Robinson is THE MAN
He's the first person in the media to really point out that her apology "added insult to injury", since it wasn't a real apology.

25. EXACTLY!
Absent from consideration by many is how African Americans will feel and react, including Obama and his family.

27. I'm a black man in his late 20's
and think that one can't understate the crassness of Hillary's assassination comment to the black community. Everybody kind of just knew that Hillary was staying in just in case something happened to Obama. We all thought that she was hoping for Rev. Wright or something like that to happen, but this assassination comment just goes too far. Didn't she notice the displeasure people had with Huckabee's comment? Before this assassination comment, I think that most blacks disliked her but were willing to forgive her. We know that she didn't mean a lot of this racial stuff, but that she was just fighting for her dream of becoming President, that she just got caught up in the moment (even if it's a multi-month moment) and would eventually come back to reality. Now it's a different story however. Hillary will get the cold shoulder from blacks just like what happened to Bush when he went to visit Katrina after the FEMA incompetence.

29. I know
I am born, raised, and live in New Orleans. When Bill came here last month, I gave him the cold shoulder. He spoke a few blocks from my house, but I did not even bother to walk over to see him.

Dredging up the death of Bobby Kennedy was beyond the pale. Unconscionable. So wrong a million ways to Sunday. Not apologizing to Obama and the Obama family - IMMEDIATELY - tells me all I need to know about Hillary Clinton. There is no way on Earth she should be his VP, now that we know how she thinks.

JFK, MLK, RFK,... this is too painful. How dare she!

26. I am glad to be hearing
some voices of reason on this - Chris Matthews and his group made excuses for this behavior.

Now, some are finding the courage to call it for what it is, and I appreciate that, as I am still horrified that this candidate was close to getting by with it.

21. Oh, jeez.....Keith and his "special comments" sigh.
:eyes: Way to stoke the fires, Keith.

I give her the benefit of the doubt, too. I think her comment got blown way out of proportion and it's unfortunate to see all the upset it's garnered. However, she has, to her credit, apologized to those who may have been offended. She was simply making a connection with the month of June and when Bill and Bobby secured the nomination.

It's just that simple.

31. He used to hold her in such high regard. They did one live interview and he was obviously
impressed with both Clinton and the fact that she was appearing on his show. Maybe Clinton supporters don't want to remember that. What a differenced a few months makes.

Hillary has only herself to blame for his loss of respect for her.

She totally deserves a special comment.

39. I saw that one too, but months ago he interviewed her and he was acting like he was talking to the
next President.

I really thought he was a Clinton supporter. Then she started channeling Tonya Harding and Karl Rove and that ended that. Did for me too. Was a time I thought she was a damn good Democrat. Silly me.
