It WAS a dumb thing to say, no doubt. But, good grief, get a grip. Some are milking this like she took a knife and started cutting jugulars or something.

Get real, people. Amazing.

11. It was a hurtful and mean spirited thing to say.
It was only a dumb thing to say because it hurt her campaign.

The actual damage was to the Democrat party, the Kennedy family, and the Obama family. It is sad when you feel more remorse for a politicians career then the family of others who the attack was aimed at.

I would suggest a deep look into your evaluation process.

13. She said she regretted using RFK 68 as part of expanation of why she's still in race
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/05/23/clinton.comments /

she regretted comments that evoked the June 1968 assassination of Robert Kennedy as part of her explanation for why she was staying in the presidential race late into the primary season.

23. She regrets the publicity she is getting, no doubt.
But she meant every word papau. You know that. The Clinton's only care about the Clinton's. They wouldn't mind someone putting a bullet in Obama and that is why she said what she did. Sorry you are blind to reality.

14. No, actually, we don't.
We've been subjected to these gaffs all along, and told to forget it...she's tired, she didn't mean it, she wants to win.

Well, so what? She's a 60 year old woman running for the highest office in the land, and she's a loose cannon. Using fear mongering as a plank, innuendo and then caps it off with victimhood when she's called on it.

Tough shit.

25. for many, myself included, who think about Obama's safety because of the historic nature of this
race, this statement was crude and insensitive. I'm not milking anything. After reading stories about Obama as a monkey on a t-shirt, Obama in the crosshairs of a gun on the cover of a metro Atlanta magazine, and Huckabee's statement about someone aiming a gun at him, I find it sad and shameful that this is the only comparison she saw fit to make. This is not "faux outrage". This is about judgment and integrity.
