Clyburn quoted in NY Times - "beyond the pale"
Edited on Fri May-23-08 11:25 PM by JoeIsOneOfUs
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/24/us/politics/24clinton.html

Clinton’s Reference to Slaying of Robert Kennedy Stirs Uproar
...
"Representative James E. Clyburn of South Carolina, an uncommitted superdelegate, said through a spokeswoman that the comments were “beyond the pale.”"
...

edit to note that the article is much longer and about more than Clyburn but most of it has already been covered in NYTimes and here previously.

1. Of course, it won't matter to Clinton supporters
they threw Clyburn under the bus long ago.

7. As well as Donna Brazile. They figure that anyone who is AA, and
says anything they perceive as not pro Hillary, must automatically be in the tank for Obama. Well, if they weren't before, I expect to see some movement of some of her high profile SD's after this. For Hillary and her supporters, it's open season on blacks who don't see things the way they do.

10. No, not under...
just to the back of the bus.

No reason to come up with an over used metaphor when there is a prime example of the type of attitude her supporters have right there... in real life.

13. "under the bus"
is one of about 100 political metaphors that I hope to never hear about again after this election.

8. Clyburn threw his own ass under the bus and tried to blame the
Clintons. Just like obambi and his campaign did when they played the race card and in turn blamed the Clintons and the whoremedia stepped right in and supported the obambi campaign.....

Well excuse me, where was clyburn's comments nade back several months when she said the same thing and in no way was there any intent in anyone getting assassinated. The whoremedia back then did not go all anal when she made those comments...only now they do. WHY? Well, if you were as far up obambi's ass as the whoremedia is then if obambi got the shits the whoremdia would too....Now that obambi has the full support of the whoremedia and they will not allow anything negative to get out about him, but go apeshit over something they did not do back then, is hypocrisy.....but i do not need some mediawhore telling me what to think or what to say.....

But I will post the comments made by the son of Robert Kennedy, Robert kennedy Jr. " I have heard her made this reference before.....but I think it is a mistake for people to take offense."...So there. obambi folks, there is no need to take offense if the son and family are not upset....

Shalom
Ben David

11. The statement was in reference to Obama. RFK JR doesn't have the right to
excuse offense on behalf of Obama and his family. Sorry, Pantsuit Queen is finished.

How many times now has this man had to comment on her "thoughtless" remarks?
