2. I think that Obama knows they are his, and has asked them to hold off.
Obama will win the remaining primaries, and that alone will clinch the nomination for him. Obama doesn't want anyone to say that he won on a technicality - through the super delegates. By having the supers hold off until the end of the primaries, victory will be all the sweeter.

even when you're not your usual verbose self, you make a damn good point !

I have no freaking idea what they are waiting for or WHY. I suggest we call them AND the DNC on Tuesday, en masse.

I posted a list of Undecided SDs in the Obama Forum.

7. Because Clintons will seek vengeance against other Dems, like Bushes do within the GOP.
That is how they exercised so much control over the party from 1993-2005.

Enough Dems opened their eyes and geared up for the fight this time around. I imagine the backstories of what Gore and Kerry went through with the undermining and sabotaging of their elections by TeamClinton have become better known in some circles who are now willing to work together to loosen the stranglehold the Clintons have had. Getting Dean into the Chair of the DNC instead of another Clinton loyalist was a great start.

8. Trust me..they want to endorse en masse BUT they dont want to cause a wedge...
by coming out just 2 weeks before the end...if i was a super i know i would wait until June 3rd and come out...if say this were 2-months back and we were in this same situation (Obama has the majority) i am positive most would have come out en masse.

If they came out too quick in too many they would alienate the Hillbots and make them feel they were being forced out by the "boys club".

However, after this post--I'll have said it several times! :)

You funny!

Ok, I'll mark 6/3 on my calendar as "The day this fucking, sham of a nightmare ends" day.

DOH!

PS--Are you enjoying Hillary's new "metric"? She's winning the popular vote. If she doesn't count
any of the votes in four caucus states. That includes Iowa. We don't count. She'll go to the mattresses
for Fl and MI--but Iowa's cast votes don't count?

I'm seething about that.

29. What happened to her 'caucusing is easy' comments?
Oh, here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=racTAiemEQU

There is no way to 'count' Iowa's 'votes' in a caucus - anything said about that is pure bullshit (there's a new swear word for ya!)
So I just roll my eyes and sigh - anyone in Iowa making that argument is full of crap (BTW, where has Tom Vilsack been???)

35. Debi, about the Iowa votes....
...During the caucuses, weren't there totals kept, which showed how many votes
were cast for each candidate?

We know how many Iowans caucused...so surely Iowa kept track of the individual votes
for each candidate in the precincts, right?

37. No and yes - kinda.
Did that clear things up?

There is no 'hard count' of the first alignment for a candidate (unless it was kept by the caucus chair - but would not have been reported to the IDP). There may be a 'hard count' of the realignment for a candidate in order to show the math that was used to reach the delegate equivalent for each candidate. However, only the delegate count was released to the media.

So, what do you want to 'count' as the 'vote'? Fairness would show that the very first alignment - outside of viability - should be used to determine 'popular vote' but since nobody keeps that count there is no way to NOW try and go back and recreate it. If you choose to use the realignment count to determine 'votes' it's not really accurate because some folks moved from a non-viable candidate to a viable one or created a new group called 'uncommitted'. If you try to 'average' the turnout with the delegate equivialent that would also be inaccurate because of realignment AND some folks who chose to not be counted rather than move from their non-viable candidate.

There is no way to determine 'popular vote' in the Iowa Caucuses. So folks need to quit trying.

38. Well that bites...
...because Clinton excludes Iowa (and three other states) from her "popular vote" tally-and she
lost all of those states.

Clearly, if the total votes from those states were included--she would not be winning the popular
vote.

Clinton is disenfranchising voters with her popular vote math

14. I try not to say it...
...because it's vulgar.

However, sometimes vulgarity is good.

It's a good word to use for added emphasis. The word has high impact, which is why
I used it here.

Am I a provincial, parasol-twirling ninny for thinking that it's vulgar?

16. Yes you are
It's just a word. People's behavior is usually ten times more vulgar but they usually never even see it, let alone recognize. But as long as they don't say "fuck", well that's all it takes to be pure and holy. That's what I find vulgar.

25. Well, I certainly agree with you...
...that there are really disgusting, amoral people out there who do nothing but
harm people and create a wake of destruction for innocent people--yet they'd
never swear. Heaven's no!

However, I'm not one of those people. I'm a pretty decent person. I try to
be anyway. I guess I was just brought up to have a negative association with
swearing and the word 'fuck.'

Being taught by repressed, humorless nuns during your formative years, probably didn't help either.

offending the candidate you were not going to vote for is a COWARDLY excuse.

If hillary is so vindictive, they should have the courage to OFFEND her. She has no place as a leader if FEAR of her is the motivator.

Hillary has convienced a lot of people that this is a close race, remember those "Low Information Voters". So they have to maintain the preception that they are "allowing the voters to decide"

As a female I am really offended by what she is doing. If she were a man, they would have pushed her out long ago, but she insist on being strong, but babied at the same time.

It's pathetic, but fortunately she is killing herself so Obama doesn't have to do anything
She is to stupid to realize the basic princple of life
You reap what sow.

You my not agree with what Rev Wright said or how he said it but it's very true. And Hillary has sown some very bad seed, so her garden is filled with poison Ivy.
That's why she can't win, she is toxic.

And trust me if she ever was to become president this country would become the biggest most distroyed benefactors of her posionistic ways. WORSE THAN BUSH OR THE SAME!!!
