Good Lord. How sad is this? What a pitiful, small woman she has become...

Senator Clinton Still Calling for a Debate
May 25, 2008 5:32 PM

ABC News' Eloise Harper reports: Since the Pennsylvania primary Sen. Hillary Clinton has been calling for a debate with her opponent, Sen. Barack Obama.

She continued her plea in Penuelas, Puerto Rico, standing outside a restaurant while less than 100 people gathered on a dirt walkway. Obama has rebuffed these requests and has instead begun campaigning in states that would be important for him in the general election if he becomes the Democratic presidential nominee.

"I was informed that Univision will sponsor a debate between Sen. Obama and myself about the issues affecting Puerto Rico," Clinton said. "I accept that invitation. Anytime, anywhere. That is the best way for the people of Puerto Rico to have their questions asked and answered and for the rest of the United States to learn more about Puerto Rico."

Clinton reiterated her claim that she feels as though she has been a senator for Puerto Rico, because she represents so many of then in New York.

"I feel as though I have been your senator and now I want to be your president," she said.

11. Fine! Hillary can debate herself!
Moderator: did you mean to suggest that one of the reasons you are running is the possibility that Obama might be assassinated?

Hillary #1: yup. Wasn't that smart?! Obama is a black and blacks get assassinated by (wink, wink) bad racist people

Hillary #2: I am sorry if anybody was offended by my statement. As for my statement, no apologies. But I am really sorry that there are people out there who are offended! And besides I was tired.

Moderator: What happened at Tuzla?

Hillary #1: I was subjected to sniper fire. Boy am I brave!

Hillary #2: I mis-spoke. I speak millions of words a day. I was tired.

Moderator: What did you mean by being ready at 3Am?

Hillary #1: I meant to say I have the experience to be president and that Obama isn't ready yet to face world issues

Hillary #2: I am really tired at 3AM....please don't disturb me!

On the Road: Clinton’s Very Bad Day

By Katharine Q. Seelye
On The Road - The Caucus - Politics - New York Times Blog

Friday might have been one of the worst days of Senator Hillary Clinton’s political career. Her campaign, as everyone knows, was already struggling. But on Friday, she made a reference to Bobby Kennedy’s assassination _ a terrible choice of phrase in a presidential campaign that features an African-American candidate.

....
We had a front-row seat to this very strange day, and we want to describe the whole thing for you because it says a lot about the state of Mrs. Clinton’s campaign, about the media and about politics in the Internet age.

In the morning the campaign, with its traveling press corps of about two-dozen reporters, photographers and camera operators, flew from Washington to Sioux Falls, S.D., to campaign in advance of the June 3 primary.

Mrs. Clinton had three events. First was a meeting with the editorial board of the Sioux Falls Argus Leader, which was live-streaming the interview, something a few newspapers just started doing in this election cycle.

The press corps, meanwhile, was on a bus from the airport to Brandon, a few miles away, to set up for her second event at a supermarket. (The media are sometimes in a different place from the candidate, usually when the event is private or small.)

...
Mrs. Clinton, meanwhile, was finishing up her short talk with the people in the produce section, where voters were asking her about her decision to pursue the nomination, often offering words of encouragement. One woman asked her about the once-arcane subject of superdelegates.

“I’m racing against the wind here,” Mrs. Clinton said, noticing that Mr. Obama had the “establishment” endorsements in the state. Afterward, she posed for pictures with workers behind the deli counter and went into a holding room.

...
But Mrs. Clinton still had one more event. We quickly packed up from the supermarket and got on the bus for a 50-mile ride to Brookings, where she held a town hall meeting with a few hundred people in a farm museum shed.

The Kennedy remark was not mentioned. But she was introduced by a retired college teacher, who said Mrs. Clinton was one of her heroes.

...
Mrs. Clinton stuck to her stump speech. But she was clearly dispirited. She spoke in an unusually soft, almost perfunctory way. The crowd was subdued, applauding occasionally. There were no banners or “Hillary” signs.

For the first question, she called on a man with a toddler asleep on his shoulder. The man delivered an unexpected rant about President Bill Clinton’s having pardoned several Puerto Rican nationalists in 1999. He suggested that Mr. Clinton pardoned them so that Puerto Ricans in New York would vote for Mrs. Clinton for Senate in her 2000 campaign.

...

How convenient. Guess who owns Univision? Haim Saban. You know, this guy:

On May 19, 2008, it was reported that Haim Saban had "offered $1 million to the Young Democrats of America during a phone conversation in which he also pressed for the organization's two uncommitted superdelegates to endorse the New York Democrat."

They are ENEMIES of the Democratic Party at this point.

There is no other choice but to hammer away at them until they surrender. Anyone who still supports them are NOT Democrats. They can leave the party as well.

It is time to put the boot to the neck and watch them finally come to their wits and surrender. Release the pressure when they signal that they will leave. Anything else is bullshit.

We are not all this dumb. Please quit acting dumb Hillary. Please. If she is asking for a debate in Puerto Rico, does she not understand what it means that PRs don't vote in the general? That there IS a GE to devote time, effort and money to in order to win it big, instead of this endless debating club business?

trying to muscle her way on to the ticket. The LATTER is REALLY a problem, and it really isn't clear whether the pledged delegates can be assumed to support the person they are pledged to for PRESIDENT, for VICE PRESIDENT.

I have a feeling the VP nominee WILL be Hillary, making the election extremely hard to call. (With someone like Boxer or Sebelius, or Stabenow or Napolitano on the ticket, especially Boxer, I think Obama would blow McCain out of the water).
