Could obama's Veep realistically be a non-democrat?
I found it odd in the polls i saw that obama/edwards was more popular than obama/hagel. How about another non-democrat?

1. I don't think so.
For the sake of party unity, if NOTHING else, he will choose a Democrat.

2. No, but not because of those bullshit polls
Hagel is unknown to a majorit of America, and thats why you see those poll results. But I definitely see non-Democrats in the Cabinet, and not just 1. But not the VP

3. There will be no repukes on this ticket.
As far as any Republicans in the administration at all..... I have to admit, I'd have a hard time finding any who were worthy. At least as far as Republicans who are well known nationally.

4. No. Especially, not Hagel.
Hagel is no Democrat when it comes to domestic issues.

7. I think it is highly realistic to say he could have a non-democrat on the ticket
Personally, I am still waiting to see what Bloomberg will do this election cycle.

If Bloomberg ends up in the cabinet at all
it would make more sense to have him in some sort of economic or financial related position, since that's his background. I don't know what he would bring to the ticket. New York is a safe state already, so it's not an electoral advantage.

17. In my opinion
Bloomberg on the ticket would strengthen Obama with voters who see the economy as the most important issue this november, and I would bet that by the time November rolls around the candidate that is viewed as the strongest on the economy is the one who is going to win.

8. No way!!
Why does it seem odd that Obama/Edwards is more popular than Obama/Hagel? The very thought of a Republican on the Democratic presidential ticket seems more than odd to me!

11. People always talk about this possibility (Kerry-McCain anyone?), but it never happens
We have too many real Democrats who are qualified to serve, and nominating Chuck Hagel would piss off too many of them.

It's a bad idea. The only stupider move possible would be for McCain to pick Lieberman.

20. Yeah, except that one is very possible

OBAMA: What? You two assholes are really running together?

McCAIN: Well, my friends.... there comes a time, my friends, that my friends, like Joe Lieberman, will stand on principle....

LIEBERMAN: Yes, principles... like 100 YEARS OF UNENDING BLOODY WAR!! KILL KILL!! REDRUM REDRUM!!!

14. No. People say that kind of shit every election year.
McCain ain't picking Holy Joe for VP, and Obama ain't picking Hagel.

Try to consider scenarios that require a few brain cells.

15. I don't vote for Republicans
And I would not vote for one tacked on to a Democratic ticket either. That Party needs to go to jail not the White House. What have they done to deserve anything but contempt? Is our Party not filled with fantastic and qualified individuals?
No, you seem to miss the whole thing. McCain+One GOPer vs Obama+ one GOPer is two Republican tickets. One 'puke or two is not a choice at all. I will vote for none of them. If Obama wants to spit on the entire Party and try to pick Hagel or some other conservative pig, I will not consider the ticket Democratic, but some sick hybrid of the Criminal GOP and the Obama movement. That is not what I signed up for.
I'd sooner drop dead than vote for any Republican at any time. So no.

say they will vote for Obama. Is Scotty busy? He could be Obama's VP.
