8. Except that Clinton and her supporters keep pushing the meme.
Edited on Wed May-28-08 10:15 AM by Leopolds Ghost
I guess they are trying to reach across the aisle to like-minded Reagan Dems
who are willing to "take a chance on the Dems one last time" in an effort to
"take back their old (pre-1964) party." These are the type of Independents
Hillary apparently believes husband relied on for his popularity... the ones
who cheered him for executing a retarded man and chastising a rapper to prove
his "yellow dog" bona-fides. Making light of a man's religion because of
his black skin and "foreign sounding" name fits right in with that.

16. You're right, technically Clinton's response fits within the 33% answer column.
So why are we attacking these people for believing something Clinton agrees with?

If Clinton said "evolution is the best theory we have, so far as I know,"
would folks attack creationists for repeating it?

(Interestingly, I have no problem with the theoretical concept of intelligent design,
but it is certainly not an "alternative" to the truism that evolution explains the
mechanics of speciation. Similarly, Barack's religion is a truism, right Hillary?)

18. Don't be dumb
Clinton answered 4 times that no, she does not believe he's a muslim. She was asked repeatedly and kept saying no, no no. You guys latch onto a truthful statement she made after the fourth denial. It's just another obama fan lie.

24. I'm not a huge Obama fan, I'm just sensitive to dog-whistles.
Lawrence O'Donnell, former Clinton guy, is an example of someone whose response to such a question would be unequivocal
and could not be misconstrued. "Don't be ridiculous, and this is an example of the sort of ominous pattern of bias that
my campaign is against" he would have said. "Just as I wouldn't want someone asking if I was part of a secret feminist
cult just because I am a woman, I will not tolerate people questioning Obama's christian faith just because he is black
and has a foreign sounding name. Obama's father was from Kenya where lots of people have Middle Eastern sounding names
because Kenya used to be colonized by the Arabs in the 1800s. I can't speak to how devout he is but I know he was
raised by his grandparents in Kansas and his nonreligious white mother and converted to Christianity. That's a lot
more religious than I, Hillary, claim to be. It's laughable that folks would question his conversion and simultaneously
attack his former pastor for attending his church! The people attacking Obama for this are obviously not true Christians."

their names sound like or their skin is how we roll in the Land of the free, home of the brave...

Sad, but true.

19. Muslim is just a codeword and has nothing to do with religion
To many people these days, "Muslim" is just a codeword for anyone who does not think that the advancement of America at the expense of everybody else (preferably dark-skinned or slanty-eyed peoples) is just the best goddarn thing in the world.

I'm confused how you can be outraged that he's a muslim and outraged at his CHRISTIAN pastor all at the same time.

Ahh.. unless you're just fucking looking for something to get outraged about because you just don't want to vote for the guy, and are looking for justification. :eyes:
