1. I am more interested in seeing if he lives up to all the promises he made.
Then I will be thrilled. Until then.....I will wait. First he has to win against McCain in November. I guess I like the one step at a time approach and his speeches never did anything for me. I like some of his ideas though after researching him.

18. I hope you are right.
But personally I am not in love with him like so many are. I like him well enough but the way some of his fans are so damn adoring that they cry whenever he makes a speech scares the crap out of me. I like to hold my politicians responsible for their actions and not their typical empty promises.

2. His first week in office is going to be amazing as well.
I also can't wait to see the headline from the UK to counter the, "How can xxx million people be so stupid?" headline from 2004.

Only 9 months to go!

5. I just hope he can get his subjects and verbs to agree!
Edited on Wed May-28-08 03:43 PM by Perry Logan
I'm not kidding about that!

I saw Obama giving one of his eloquent (or grandiloquent) talks the other day, and I swear he had a goddam subject-verb disagreement in the very first sentence. If it were a term paper, he'd have to do it again.

This would be funnier if Obama hadn't screwed the party in the butt.

13. The only person screwing the party in the butt is Hillary
and you know it. It is simply that you have learned to love it.

17. I went to your website, looking for grammatical errors.
I found several. But everything else was so bad, I don't even need to bring them up.

7. It might be a good idea to live in the "HERE" and "NOW" ... and act accordingly.
Living in some imaginary future - whether utopian or horrible - deprives us of the attention we need for the present. Same goes for some illusory notion of ShouldaWouldaCoulda. It doesn't depend on the "meaning of 'is'" ... it only depends on what really is.

Just sayin'.

19. And to think his Nomination Speech will occur on the 45th Anniversary...
... of The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream" speech.

I can't wait. That's the kind of culmination of a narrative arc that you couldn't write if you really, really wanted to! :-) :bounce:

21. The LIFE pictoral on America's firt black president and first lady,
Obama's 15 minute standing ovation at the United Nations,

The photograph of Obama patting a weeping Hu Jintao on the back after they exit from trade talks,

Obama removing his coat to place it over Dick Cheny's head as he perp-walks onto the plant to Neuremburg,

Ok, I kinda wandered there...
