The Problem with Pastorgate II

BO has said that he belonged to Trinity because of the people. Because of the church community. He said it was not just a Pastor when the Wright situation was in the news. Now again, we have been shown video of a Pastor being lauded by this congregation. If it is the congregation that makes up the church and not the Pastor then I believe this congregation has shown us they agree with the racist remarks of both Wright and Flegler by their standing ovations and loud applause. BO's argument of 'the church community' and not the Pastor being important has been blown out of the water. He needs to totally distance himself from this church as Oprah did years ago.

Plus, he shouldn't be held accountable for what Pfleger said.

I haven't turned on my television for 6 months. I don't know what the talky-talks are spinning. I go by the front page of Google news and Scotty is one of 3 leads featured on that page. I can imagine that the MSM will try to deflect from McClellan's book because he attributes their complacency as one of the reasons we went to war. Most newspeople aren't very good at accepting blame.

There's no way around that. We all saw it happen - they spun themselves into a corner five years ago and now the piper is knocking at the door.

DNC Rules & Bylaws Committee meets tomorrow, McClellan outs Bush & CO. as the criminals they are, MSN needs SOMETHING to wave as a big distraction flag. They really should have tried harder. ;)

The Family avoids the word Christian but worships Jesus, though not the Jesus who promised the earth to the "meek." They believe that, in mass societies, it's only the elites who matter, the political leaders who can build God's "dominion" on earth. Insofar as The Family has a consistent philosophy, it's all about power--cultivating it, building it and networking it together into ever-stronger units, or "cells." It was a guest at the church which has already been ripped several new ones over its pastor. Additionally, I think that people in general (not the media, which lives for this stuff) are getting a little tired of the regular gaffe/guilt by association/parsing of words/etc. which seem to have dominated this campaign to the almost exclusion of the actual real issues.

I didn't like his most recent diatribe, but his community work more than makes up for it.
