My suggestion is that we follow Obama's lead - stop the attacks and relax
Let us stop with all of the incensed hypothetical scenarios.

The Clinton campaign is out of money and many of its key surrogates Rendell, Patterson, Schumer, Feinstein, Carivelle have all indicated that they are not going to go along with anything beyond the Primary season.

Lets just give it a rest.


We can always go apeshit on Wednesday.

Lets just let the Obama campaign take care of it

And we can make an appointment for Apeshit Wednesday

5. Yes, ultimately, Clinton doesn't have the funds to pay for a fall election.
She doesn't have the manpower of the grassroots that Obama has. She isn't gearing up for the GE, but is still attacking Obama trying to play catch up... and McCain is countering Obama, not Clinton. Essentially, on a political perspective, everyone is ignoring Clinton... Its the media that keeps hyping the b.s. trying to get people to continue to follow the Clinton/ Obama saga... AND like we have seen, they are good at the propaganda.. they convinced an entire nation to go to war with Iraq...

7. Agreed.
It is not easy for a candidate to exit or for their supporters to accept it.

It has been a long and arduous race, and we are all tired. We have been in a suspended state after much excitement and that opens the door for anger and animosity.

It is time to heal and unify.

It isn't going to the Convention, and will likely be over next week. we need to start becoming the Democratic Party again.

Half Apeshit Wednesday seems about right to me, allowing for one brief dose of Super Delegate provided reality therapy for a few days. One week after the final primary I am willing to go completely apeshit if Obama has the votes but the nomination is still being contested.

Clearly Obama is looking towards uniting the Democratic Party. On the other hand, when an issue is pursued (eg HRC or her surrogates claim that she has won the popular vote by some utterly perverted logic) I don't feel that we are required to "zip it". That is a level of discipline unrealistic to expect in DU. But at least PRO-OBAMA folk like myself can refrain from encouraging, and actively DIScourage, specific instances of gloating, of indulging nose-rubbing, and other kinds of gratuitous (and sometimes suspicious) divisiveness.
