LA Times declares Bush era over, everything to be Obama's fault now
Edited on Sun May-03-09 04:03 PM by Zomby Woof
Thank goodness they clarified this for me. I was wondering when the economic mess would stop being Bush and the Republicans' fault, and solely Obama's. Guess that 100 day mark IS magical after all! Too bad Clinton didn't get a pass at Bush's 100 day mark. Looks like he is still sharing blame with Obama now. I would be lost without the guidance and wisdom of the mega-media. Utterly lost.

Read this load of bullshit here:

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/washingtondc/la-na-obama-president3-2009may03,0,6269705.story

Political observers say that with the events of the last week, accountability for the nation and its current problems has clearly shifted from Bush.
By Peter Nicholas
May 3, 2009
Reporting from Washington -- In the span of a single week -- from the day Arlen Specter turned Democratic to the moment Congress passed the White House's budget blueprint and on through the opening of a spot on the Supreme Court -- President Obama crossed a fateful line: From now on, it's his country.

Every president inherits a tangle of problems from his predecessor. War and recession, natural disaster and foreign crises. And for some undefined interval, new presidents argue that they should not be accountable for the troubles that arose on another's watch.

1. It is all LA Times fault because they supported Bush 150% of the time.
Peter Nicholas is a twit based on credentials he doesn't have.

Nicholas based his story on just one so called expert's opinion, Paul Light, a New York University professor?

2. What other "experts" are out there and what do they have to say?
The twit, Paul Light needs to be challenged.

3. Then I assume conservatives will stop blaming Bill Clinton for 9/11
If that's the logic they wish to apply to Obama then they must absolve Clinton of all blame for 9/11 because that came at a later point in the Bush, Jr. presidency, as compared to the distance between today and Bush's date of departure.

4. Exactly
We have come to expect this hypocritical double standard from Republicans, but to see this promoted in a front page story as news to be accepted wholesale and uncritically is even worse.

6. People say that it's a good idea to read the paper each day, but the more I read them the more I...
notice that they're written by moronic, bloviating shitsacks. I'm glad they're going under.

10. I am coming around to that
The paper has been a lifelong habit of mine, and I hate to let go, but they are making it easier these days. My subscription runs out next week, and times are tough. Adios, LA Times!

The other local paper here is a travesty. Every day I find spelling and grammatical errors on the front page. I am thinking of offering my services as a copy editor for them. I am cheap.
