Photobucket and racist images of the President.
I stumbled upon a charming user on Photobucket tonight and his/her collection includes depictions of the President as a monkey, amongst other hate-filled bile. I know, I know: cutting edge political satire.

I don't use Photobucket so I don't know anything about their rules, but is this kind of stuff generally acceptable there? Are they big First Amendment fans: anything goes, even racist hate?

1.  I won't click on the link but I think anybody can have an account
and they probably can store what they want. For the record, I hate whoever it is that own's the images.

6. Okay, done. I was a user after all....
...forgotten I'd signed up months ago because I stopped using Photobucket after a day - hate the look of it.

True, if this creep's images are removed it's but a drop in the ocean, but it's something.

I actually have very few of the photos I post on DU on my computer, usually all I do is copy a photo's url - most often from www.daylife.com - and post it here.

I use Flickr for my own stuff, ie photos I took myself or ones I found that I love (yes, the President features in one or two :blush:). There are lots of things about Flickr I don't like, but I just find it much better than Photobucket - but plenty of people disagree!

but if I accidentally had I would have reported them to Photobucket. It's clearly against their rules.

It's amazing that after all this time we still have to put out these idiotic racist grass fires when then flare up, isn't it? It's two steps forward, and 1.9 steps back. Our progress is maddeningly slow at times.
