Yesterday at the Cinco de Mayo event, the President said "Welcome to Cinco de Quatro" ie: "Welcome to the fifth of the fourth."

He should have said, "Welcome to Quatro de Mayo." .... but I didnt even catch it until Keith pointed it out.

What he said was "Five of four"...not "fifth of the fourth".....And he looked at his watch when he said it. Do we know what time it was when he made the remark? Could it have been 3:55? Just sayin'.

And gee, ya know, it's kind of cool to know that our President can make such pequeño (SMALL) mistakes. ;)

I thought it was cute vice inflammatory. "Hey, Obama's sometimes human. Bueno!"

referencing the fact that they were celebrating cinco de mayo on the fourth not the fifth. Only he didn't say quatro de mayo (fourth of may) he said cinco de quatro (fifth of the fourth). He didn't "correct" that -- he referred to the fact that they were celebrating cinco de mayo a day early.

As noted several times, its not a big deal. But its silly to pretend it didn't happen.

I saw that and it made no sense to me. The President incorrectly said something in Spanish, which is obviously not his first language, and he is put on the worst persons list with the likes of those two hateful women. That was a stretch. Keith already puts me off because he focuses too much on what not in power crazy right is saying e.g. Joe the fake plumber, Rush, Bachman. He spent nearly 7 minutes on the California supermodel. I wish he would focus on the obstructionists that are holding up the President's picks or the lies being spouted by Republicans on health care and energy. This would be a far greater use of his time. Keith the Dems are now in power stop focusing on the Repubs that are just blowing hot air focus on the ones that can stop or hinder the progressive agenda.

That translates to Fifth of Four, which may sound odd out of context. However it's really a subtle reference to Seven of Nine, Star Trek Voyager's sexy Borg, Geri Ryan. Geri Ryan was the former wife of Illinois Republican Jack Ryan, whom Obama was beating mercilessly to become the Senator from Illinois and rise to national prominence. Geri Ryan divorced jack over his forcing her to publicly commit degrading sex acts at sex clubs, some of which are inappropriately named after Mexican stereotypes.

OK, it's a stretch but that's how I'm linking it.
