Somebody, please tell the man, YOU'RE NOT VP ANYMORE! GO AWAY!:argh:

How can a man, with an approval rating lower than my 12 year-old child, be of any relevance to this country anymore? Why do they even give him a seat at the table?
Is this Cheney's way of trying to do damage control for what he's done? Do these commentators actually think they are going to get an "honest" answer out of him?

He needs to take Bush's lead for once, and fade into the background.

I just don't get it:shrug:

they'll create one in a teacup. This is their teacup tempest today. It means they can sit on their asses and pretend to do their work.

9. Your are absolutely right.
The good part, IMHO, is that by saying as he did today, he agrees with nut case Limbaugh, he will eventually be dismissed as crazy also. The Rethugs are imploding and the former VP is pouring fuel on the fire. From what I've read as I'm sure you have also, many Rethugs wish he would shut up and go away.

5. DICKO
I hope he gets his own networks like Pat Robertson and those guys and uses it to spread his message far and wide all over the place constantly and forever.

It may remind some Americans that he got away scot free with murder and treason and war profiteering!

Americans may not like it when they eventually realize Dicko is rubbing their noses in his crimes with impunity.

Or he may be promoting his new book... which I hear has the tentative title of

"How to Shoot Friends and Interrogate People"

29. Dick Cheney's memoirs-- "How to Shoot Friends and Interrogate People "
That is funny stuff. I hope the Republicans get all bent out of shape over it. But what can they do, we have the votes to sideline them and they know it.

I cannot wait until Al Franken is seated and we have the filibuster proof 60 in the Senate.

10. Speaking of Bush fading into the background
I loved Wanda's joking about that last night. Here's my paraphrase of that sequence:

He really disappeared in a hurry. Kind of like a houseguest that has broken something during their stay and wants to get away before you find out about it. Later you pick up the vase and notice-- what the heck? ... So you see, Mr. President, you thought you were inheriting a beautiful White House but you're really getting a fixer-upper.

the others can then either agree or avoid it or use it as a talking point to pivot to the bashing message of the day.

23. embellishment of above post
Pinochet or Suharto or Kenny Boy Lay.

A guy like Kenny would have the resources to fake his own death, doncha think?

I bet in less than two years both Dicko and Kenny Boy will be running around on their own private tropical island gleefully shooting each other in the face and waterboarding "the help."

They are probably set up to remotely run the MICC much like Capone ran his gang when he was in prison.

26. When people stop talking about him...
... is when he stops being relevant. As long as there is no definitive court case to prove his guilt, then he has a right to defend himself publicly.

And if you haven't noticed, he is STILL a former Vice President of the US, which puts him on a level of prominence that outstrips the vast majority of people who could possibly be given interviews.

If you don't ignore him, he's not going away.
