Maybe the President of the United States really does control the Department of Justice.

2. He DIDN'T tell them not to release the picsm he asked them to file
an appeal to the court order. BIG DIFF! I'm torn on the release of those pics. On one side I want the world to see just what dirty rotten things we had done by order of the past admin, but on the other side, I think Obama has done a good job of beginning to convince the world that we Ameruicans really aren't like that, and releasing additional photos now would just revive the anger and hatered Obama has tried to fix.

Right now, I'm leaning toward not releasing them right now. We all know they exist, so why not keep them for presentation during an investigation of the Shrub admin. which I'm sure will happen.

6. They're only independent when Obama needs to pass the buck to them on an
issue he is afraid of, such as investigating bush crimes.

When he really wants them to do something, such as oppose a civil liberties lawsuit, he can tell them to do anything he wants. They work for him.

I'm glad I could clear that up for you.

9. Sounds like he asked them..
and yes..I do think the President of the United States does have a lot of sway with the Justice Department, at least that seems to me to have been the case for the whole of my lifetime.

10. The Attorney General serves at the pleasure of the president
"Independent" means that they are supposed to be non-partisan in their activities.

11. I don't think the judge will listen to the administration

I have a feeling the photos will come out, especially if this is the same judge that ruled in favor of the release the first time around.
