192 out of 265 Catholic Bishops have NOT protested Obama's Notre Dame speech.
And the overwhelming majority of graduating seniors are happy he'll be speaking at their commencement.

But the media would have us focus on the protesters. Don't be fooled -- they don't represent most Catholics, or even most "religious" Catholics, no matter how they present themselves.

2. Obama's philosophy is much more in line with
Catholic teaching than the repugs. All that stuff about feeding the poor, etc. The media likes controversy because it brings in viewers and therefore ad revenues. And by covering those stories, which are easy, they don't have to do any real journalism about real issues. The Right loves the abortion issue because it gets people to open their pocketbooks and donate to its candidates.

3. 70% of all Catholics think that ND should have Obama speak..
30% are Right-Wing Abortion is the only issue we live, sleep & think about Catholics, and anything Obama does will be met with protest.

Good for the University - most Catholics aren't zealots.. and i'm happy to see this University living the creed of "Do unto Others as you would have done unto you". 30% of Catholics seem to forget that line... :eyes:

5. It's the same goddamn thing they did with the Tea Parties.
Take a vocal minority and make them look like the majority.

Fucking pathetic.
