I was thinking along much similar lines. A rather bleak thought of Ashcroft flashed through my mind upon seeing that statue. Again, what a breath of fresh air! She's a really good role model for women of all ages. I also love that she's my age.

Is this the first time she's worn a "name" (someone who's been around and famous for a long time)? At least since she's been First Lady? Mizrahi designs both top dollar fashions, and very very affordable fashions (he designs for Target), so he's a good choice.

8. It's called empire style dressing, and its all the rage! :)
Especially Great for 45 year old women who have had 2 kids,
and have a bit of a tummy no matter how many sits up are done.

Yes, you're likely right.

You know, one of the most gorgeous things I ever wore was an empire-waisted costume. Heavy, red velvet gown - to the floor with a very full skirt, and rather low cut.

But not exactly the thing to wear to the office - even if I had been able to keep it!

15. My favorite place in Manhattan, my favorite color and my favorite First Lady.
That is the color I wanted for my wedding but it wasn't "in" at the time so I ended up with some horrible peachy color. That shade is so in my palette. I want, I want, I want!
