C-Span Caller: Women are not good in power! (stated by a woman caller)
So apparently the caller stated.

She'll bring back Affirmative Action and make it law.
She's only picked because she was latino.
I don't think women are good in power.
She's also an extreme feminist.

Oh, this caller was priceless. All said by a female. So apparently a woman is not good in power by a woman. The rest is crap...but entertaining.

2. Yes, wasn't she a peach. Has that woman checked her sex lately?
Or has she been so beaten down by the "man is king" stuff the fundies shove that she is enjoying the bottom of her own particular pecking order?

6. Betcha the caller was old & from the south.
I lived in the north east for 47 years before bbeing transferred to the shouth, and I was SHOCKED at how many people, mostly women, who still believe a woman should be a homemaker & always stand behind her husband!

I was the Secretary/Treasurer of our streetrod club at thre time, and the women I met at the South Carolina car clubs constantly made stupid remarks like "I would never wear my club jacket unless I was with my husband because that jacket is a MAN'S JACKET! That waS 22 years ago, and it hasn't getten any better down here.

14. I don't think she was old. She didn't sound like it. I'd put her in her late 20s early 30s.
Definitely not her 40s by the sound of her. I pictured someone young.

16. Not surprising.
Heard similar statements during the primaries. I remember the woman in IA who said that no woman should be president, as her husband shook his head in wonderment at her remark.

Plenty of women seem to have issues with other women being in power. I'll never understand it. Pretty frightening to hear that in the US and in the 21st century.

:scared:

Haiti had a female President that ruled with an iron fist during the interim. Then there was Margaret Thatcher---my mum liked her.-

Same as queens. Who would doubt the toughness of Elizabeth I, Catherine the Great, Victoria, etc.

The first female president we ever get, and I'll place a wager on this, will wield power like a Jedi with a light saber.

37. She's going to get into big trouble...
...when her husband and "sister wives" at the FLDS ranch find out she was making a long-distance call. That charge will be coming out of her pin money... and then she'll never be able to finish sewing her new pioneer-wife dress!

41. I recall a LTTE in my college newspaper
and the writer stated emphatically that "Women can't be leaders." Later in the letter he said that "We need to get back to our Christian foundation set forth in the King James Bible" (and that the King James version was the only "true" translation).

That got me to thinking...from whom did King James inherit the throne?

 Women can't be leaders. Yeah, right.
