12. I am 40
I have worked at several different companies over the years and hung out with people from the mailroom all the was to the boardroom.

I have met MAYBE 5 people (under the age of 55) that have never smoked pot. This includes CEOs and Hourlies.

Many continue (including a VP at Verizon that I see at motorbike races) to smoke at least once a week.

14. Yeah, its kind of funny to me. I smoked pot in college, I was 21.
Don't do it anymore. I stopped after a year, it just made me feel out of it. But that is hardly shocking to anyone in their 20's, 30's, or 40's. Remember Clinton...I didn't inhale? Seems so quaint now.

5. Bork was shot down for pot
not so much for his philosophy. He was honest at the wrong time to admit it.

7. Realy. Nothing to do with this?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Bork

A hotly contested United States Senate debate over Bork's nomination ensued, partly fueled by strong opposition by civil and women's rights groups concerned with what they claimed was Bork's desire to roll back civil rights decisions of the Warren and Burger courts. Bork is one of only three Supreme Court nominees to ever be opposed by the ACLU, along with William Rehnquist and Samuel Alito.<14> Bork was also criticized for being an "advocate of disproportionate powers for the executive branch of Government, almost executive supremacy,"<8> as allegedly demonstrated by his role in the Saturday Night Massacre.

13. Any GOP nominee would have had the same opposition
the difference is because the gop withdrew their support after the MJ revelation. All other things being the same, the MJ probably wouldn't be factored in.

9. Are you thinking of Judge Douglas H. Ginsburg?

GINSBURG WITHDRAWS NAME AS SUPREME COURT NOMINEE, CITING MARIJUANA 'CLAMOR'
By STEVEN V. ROBERTS, Special to the New York Times
Published: Sunday, November 8, 1987

Under enormous pressure from Administration officials and his own conservative supporters on Capitol Hill, Judge Douglas H. Ginsburg today asked President Reagan to withdraw his nomination to the Supreme Court.

The judge announced his decision only nine days after he was chosen to fill the seat vacated by the retirement of Justice Lewis F. Powell Jr. He acted after disclosures about his personal and ethical conduct stirred a storm of criticism.

The disclosures, which culminated Thursday with Judge Ginsburg's admission that he had smoked marijuana several times, embarrassed Mr. Reagan, who had called his confirmation ''vitally important to the fight against crime.''
