Sean Hannity is a F'CKING RACIST.
He is using President Obama's pick of Sotomayor and the New Haven firefighter who was denied a promotion "because he is white", as Hannity kept repeating, as the prime example of why people like Sotomayor cannot be trusted to render objective decision on the bench. The case which is now heading to the supreme court, which Sotomayor will soon be a member of, is expected to be hotly controversial case.

Hannity went on to say that if Obama selected the most qualified person for the bench it would have never been Sotomayor. He inferred she was selected because of her race.

Once again Hannity is doing everything he can to stir a bunch up conservatives, and fill them with hate, less than 24 hours after President Obama,a made the announcement.

Amazing isn't it.

1. Yes Hannity is a racist
And there is no surprise that he, and other RWers are going to try to stir up trouble with Ms. Sotomayor. Just now, I'm hearing tancredo say the same damn thing. And earlier, I was listening to Ed Schultz and a guy said she shouldn't be a SC nominee because she has Diabetes and may drop dead at any time. So they are trying anything they can. Screw 'em. They can't win and they know it.

11. Not amazing, just predictable.
All the pukes have is their fundie base - all they can do is work them up into a frenzy. No way they can stop Sotomayor so they'll whine and cry and scream life's unfair and huddle together in their own little pathetic world.

14. That case is most likely going to be THE hot item...
Edited on Tue May-26-09 07:12 PM by OneGrassRoot
in the confirmation hearings and the Faux crowd will be talking about it NONSTOP.

They already have been mumbling about it nonstop; the volume will rise exponentially.

I actually would love more information about it myself. On the surface, I'm puzzled as to what has happened. Are records sealed which means we CAN'T know the truth of this test?

The right-wingers are going to get their racist fix yet.

The pissed-off white people -- the Palin mob -- will sink their teeth into this and focus their rage about how THEY'RE the minority and the oppressed now.

Just wait.

It's gonna get really ugly.

16. I'm afraid you are right
I don't live in New Haven so I haven't been able to follow the story as close as I am sure some on here have. Sean Hannity and Glen Beck were both taking everything she has saud in the past 17 plus years out of context to make baseless and ludicrous accusations against Sotomyor. It is truly pathetic and never believed that Hannity could sink so low. One quote he talked about was so chopped up and distorted I think it came from two different interviews.

18. If facts enter into the Faux crowd's arguments, it's by accident....
facts get in the way, as you well know. ;)

I predict the right will make enough noise about this issue to upset even independent voters who are feeling beleaguered and beaten down.

It's their typical tactic of blame the "welfare queen" rather than corporate welfare kings like Enron et al.

But it works. For a large percentage of the population, it works. They need a focus for their discontent and anger, and the right-wing always complies and makes it easy.

Black and white.

Literally.

It's very disheartening.

19. From earlier today-this was clearly their first talking point. They have moved on to 'stupid"

"She reads racial preferences and quotas into the Constitution, even to the point of dishonoring those who preserve our public safety," the statement added. "On September 11, America saw firsthand the vital role of America's firefighters in protecting our citizens. They put their lives on the line for her and the other citizens of New York and the nation. But Judge Sotomayor would sacrifice their claims to fair treatment in employment promotions to racial preferences and quotas. The Supreme Court is now reviewing that decision."

Conservatives Blast Obama’s Hispanic SCOTUS Nominee As ‘Not The Smartest’ And An ‘Intellectual Lightweight’
http://thinkprogress.org/2009/05/26/sotomayor-lightweig... /

Similarly, over at the National Review, Ramesh Ponnuru calls Sotomayor “Obama’s Harriet Miers.” This morning on Fox News, Karl Rove questioned whether she was smart enough to be on the Supreme Court. “I’m not really certain how intellectually strong she would be, she has not been very strong on the second circuit,” he said. Citing Rosen, Weekly Standard executive editor Fred Barnes said that Sotomayor was “not the smartest.” Watch a compilation:

These attacks started even before Sotomayor was named. The National Review’s Mark Hemingway earlier said that Sotomayor was “dumb and obnoxious.”

22. Same old Same old
I only mention it because it seems truly low even by his standards. Hannity is not as blatant a racist as some others, but I felt it worth pointing out. Especially since I sense he and others making a big issue out of this case, which is just shameful.
