The following are all the female judges appointed by Democratic Presidents to US Appeals courts

The following are all the female judges appointed by Democratic Presidents to US Appeals courts
Posting mainly for future research purposes.

As you can see most of the below female judges are fairly old. Minority ethnicity listed as well. Those born after 1950 in bold:

Briscoe, Mary Beck, Born 1947
Graber, Susan, Born 1949
Hull, Frank M., Born 1948
King, Carolyn Dineen, Born 1938
Lynch, Sandra Lea, Born 1946
McKeown, M. Margaret, Born 1951
Moore, Karen Nelson, Born 1948
Motz, Diana Jane Gribbon, Born 1943
Murphy, Diana E., Born 1934.
Pooler, Rosemary S., Born 1938.
Rawlinson, Johnnie B., Born 1952. African American.
Rendell, Marjorie O., Born 1947.
Rogers, Judith Ann Wilson, Born 1939. African American.
Schroeder, Mary Murphy, Born 1940.
Sloviter, Dolores Korman, Born 1932.
Sotomayor, Sonia, Born 1954. Hispanic.
Wardlaw, Kim McLane, Born 1954. Hispanic.
Williams, Ann Claire, Born 1949. African American.
Wood, Diane Pamela, Born 1950.

Obama will be nominating new judges to Appeals courts that would then be at the most common spring board to the SCOTUS. The pool will be getting younger.

Obama's current judicial nominees to the federal bench:

U.S. District Judge David F. Hamilton, Born 1957, nominated to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.
U.S. District Judge Andre M. Davis, Born 1949, the U.S. nominated to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit. African American.
U.S. District Judge, Gerard E. Lynch, Born 1951, nominated to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit.
And of course Judge Sotomayor...

2. Yes, what I mean is that they are fairly old to be considered for the high court
