54 days at Crawford, 4 days at Kennebunkport, and 38 at Camp David.

And so naturally the Repubs are complaining about the Obama's seeing a show in NY.

From the Washington Post:

CRAWFORD, Tex., Aug. 6 -- By the time President Bush returns to Washington on Labor Day after the longest presidential vacation in 32 years, he will have spent all or part of 54 days since the inauguration at his parched but beloved ranch. That's almost a quarter of his presidency.

Throw in four days last month at his parents' seaside estate in Kennebunkport, Maine, and 38 full or partial days at the presidential retreat at Camp David, and Bush will have spent 42 percent of his presidency at vacation spots or en route.

5. Sure. After all, he had to really work hard
at vacation to exceed Reagan's record.

6. could you imagine a democract spending 42% of the first 8 months of his presidency
on vacation and then a terrorist attack occurs. would the media paint him as some kind of hero? or a lazy bastard who neglected his duties?

11. I wonder how long before we start hearing about that?
It took quite awhile before anyone acknowledged that Reagan was showing signs of Alzheimer's while in the W.H. I guess I shouldn't hold my breath.
