Poll question: Do you Approve of the Job Robert Gates has Done as Secretary of Defense?

Ive wanted to take the temperature of DU for awhile now of key figures in the Obama administration, and on the eve of election day 2010, a year since Obama won the 2008 Presidential Election, I thought now would be a good time.

The scale I'm using is different than one I and other pollsters have used previously, but I think this fits better.

1. I voted approve.

I didnt particularly like having him as a holdover from the Bush administration, though I never really saw him as a true Bushie. He seems to be a stand up guy who doesnt seem to be in the Pentagon's pocket.

3. Somewhat Approve. Huge upgrade on Rummy and no worse than many

of our hawkish folk that gravitate to such positions. I believe we can do better but Gates is far from bad as it can get.
