If you've been in Arizona for a summer or more, you should be familiar with Big Surf. But did you know it was the first of its kind? Before the rise of the waterpark, we had our own. Learn more about it at the Tempe Historical Society's October Lunch Time Lecture:

2. We used to have one of our company picnics there...
... every summer. What a blast! I'm bummed about the drive-in closing, but I'll still get over that way for Big Surf.
