Occupy Tucson update
First and most important, Occupy Tucson WILL NOT start out at Viente de Agosto (Pancho Villa) Park due to a conflict with Tucson Meet Yourself. For a more detailed explanation please see the link below to an excellent article by Jeff Brodesky in today's Arizona Star, (page 2 below the fold but almost the entire half of the page.

Occupy Tucson will start at 9:00 A.M. at Armory park on Saturday, Oct. 15. Armory Park, also known as Military Plaza Park, is located between E. 12th St. and E. 13th St. and S. 6th Ave.

We are getting lots of publicity. I have seen myself (though only my wife would know it) numerous times on KGUN and KOLD news this week as they attempt to report on something they don't really understand. This morning I was listening to a money show on AM 1330 hosted by Mark Ross and Ron Wilson and the main topic was Occupy Wall Street/Tucson. It was obvious to me that they didn't really understand what was going on. At the end of the show, they gave a phone # and asked anyone with comments to give them a call, so I did. Mark Ross answered the call and we talked for ten to fifteen minutes. I won't go into the whole conversation but I did invite him to stop by on Saturday and he said he would have to make some schedule adjustments but that he would really like to do that and, if possible, he would be there.

He asked me to keep him updated and suggested that he might like me to be a guest on next weeks show. I'm not sure that I am the most articulate person for the job but we'll see. If that happens, you'll read it here first.

This is the most exciting thing I have been involved since the anti war protests in the 60's. Even if you can only come by for a few minutes while visiting Tucson Meet Yourself, stop by and be a part of history.
