A look at some of the bills that were voted on Monday by the California Legislature. Friday is the deadline for bills to pass their house of origin:

BUSINESS:

- Employers who notify the state of mass layoffs would be required to disclose whether the job terminations were the result of outsourcing. SB1453, by Sen. Liz Figueroa, D-Sunol, was approved 21-14 by the Senate. It moves to the Assembly.

- Businesses or government offices would be required to notify people if their personal information was accessed, putting them at risk of identity theft. SB1279, by Sen. Debra Bowen, D-Marina del Rey, was approved 23-9 by the Senate. It moves to the Assembly.
