For the Los Angeles protest we're bringing a much taller and more elaborate Bush puppet then the last protest. I need some DU volunteers to pull it and hold the arms.

2. Report
It was good to go. I brought a friend. We both noticed that the Socialist Workers Party hasn't changed their rap in over 30 years... hehehe

The people who showed up were under 30 or over 50. What happened to the middle?

Most of the "music" was too loud & hurt my ears. It would be better to draw upon the wealth of protest music from the sixties. It contained a message, and the feel of it promoted the ideals of Peace. Also, it would provide a continuity for the movement, letting people recognize that the Peace Movement is larger than any specific war or time. Besides which, I know the kids would enjoy it, too...

The chants used during the march to the Federal Building were oriented towards anger, which is a divisive thing. Much more effective, (especially for the people watching the march go by) would have been having people singing the Beatles song : "All we are saying, is give Peace a chance!" Hitting a positive, note unites people.
