Duncan Hunter: the next Ca repuke to fall?
Congressman Duncan Hunter (R-CA), Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, has come under fire from constituents for accepting nearly a quarter million dollars in campaign contributions from missile defense contractors over the past five years. Hunter has also drawn criticism for accepting $46,000 from un-indicted co-conspirators implicated in bribing Hunter’s friend and San Diego colleague, Randy “Duke” Cunningham, who resigned from Congress after pleading guilty.
But Hunter’s ties to the defense industry go even deeper.
The Republican Congressman shares ownership in a Virginia cabin with Pete Geren – who served as Acting Secretary of the U.S. Air Force from August through early November, RAW STORY has learned. Hunter’s disclosure forms filed with the FEC indicate he built the cabin in 1996 along with Geren and a third partner, Al Tierney.

1. So, who's left in SD county?
They seem to be falling like dominoes down there.

Up here in the Bay area, we'd be happy if someone would just catch Pombo with his hand in the cookie jar....

2. Darrell Issa's next!

During the recall campaign they already had a lot of suspicious stuff that was happening around him that never got "solved" (arson, car thefts, illegal weapons ownership, etc.). I wonder if after they're done with Hunter if they might go after Issa too! It can't be too coincidental that he owns that car alarm company (Viper) and his brother is a well known car thief!

At this rate, San Diego's looking more corrupt than any place in Texas (even with Delay's footprints there!)

6. MoveOn delivered a petition with 1,000 signatures to Hunter's office today
urging him to bring troops home. Someone played a dirty trick on the protesters, sending out an e-mail that appeared to be from the rally organizer. It said that the rally's time and location had been changed. The e-mail address used was the real address for the MoveOn organizer, but he did not send it.

Does anyone have computer expertise and know how to track down where something like this really originated?

10. I would love to see Hunter hang.
He is without a doubt as big of a shit bag as Cunningham was. That's not just partisan spite and instead comes from years of having to listen to this asshole since he represents the area I live in.
