Blouin's answer to the question of women's choice?

Run Andy out to tell all what Mike really means.

(Cuz she's gonna have complete control over him when he's the big, bad Governor :eyes:)

Abortion issue heats up Democratic primary

<snip>

"It's important to be consistent," said Culver, who is pro-choice. "There will be no election-year conversions for me. Mike Blouin has been on both sides of this issue."

<snip>

"This is kind of close to home here," Culver said. "And I've said unequivocally from the beginning of my campaign for governor that I will veto any attempt in Iowa that would infringe upon a woman's right to make her own health-care decision."

McGuire said she wouldn't have agreed to join the Blouin ticket if she felt he would sign abortion restrictions into law.

<snip>

She said Blouin wants to adopt policies that reduce the number of abortions. Blouin has signed a pledge by the National Abortion Rights Action League to support those preventive efforts.

<snip>

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Read the whole article - I don't understand how Blouin, who was SO anti-women's reproductive health care rights, can NOW sign a pledge with NARAL? (THAT'S not against his religion)? At least we won't have to see him giving speeches, he'll just have Andy do all the talking! (Can she do the debates for him as well???? :shrug:)

On Edit:

Of course, the article goes on to state that Pam Jochum is pro-choice, so factually it's not the best.....

2. The first strain of the McCain virus has shown up in Iowa....
It makes candidates do and say whatever they think will get them elected.

3. Our mantra should be: republicans always go home
We need not nominate republican sympathetic candidates to try and appease or cajole republicans to vote Democratic. It will not work. We need to nominate Democrats. Got it? DEMOCRATS! :kick:
