DU gathering at the state convention?

We all want a DU gathering at the state convention, so is it going to happen? I have never been to a state convention, so I have no clue how they work. That means I wouldn't be a good person to organize it. So someone who has attended might just want to think back to past conventions and just set a time/place. Just a thought.

I am not going to go to the Hall of Fame dinner, but could make it to Des Moines on Friday and will be there Saturday all day.

Any ideas?

Ok, here's the thing...

I bought tickets to a Sheryl Crow concert back in February for what was supposed to be a March concert as a gift for my girlfriend, but the March date was cancelled and it was rescheduled for Saturday night. On top of that, I was just surprised with a gift of plane tickets to Vegas, leaving on Sunday, to go with a friend to see another one of my long-time friends that moved out there last October.

So my weekend is going to be a little hectic, and as much as I whined and complained about getting there as a delegate, I may not attend. I was definitely planning on going if the nomination went to convention, but now that the 'urgency' is sort of not there when up against everything I have going on and things I need to do...

Either way, if I don't attend I am sure to meet all of you eventually as the presidential politics heat up.

Do to nobody to hold down the fort while we are in Des Moines (seems we called in all our favors to make Culver's Victory Party last week). As of today our attendance at State Convention has about a 10% chance of happening (you know, the same percentage as people in Iowa wanting to see Tom Vilsack as our presidential nominee??!! :rofl:)

Hell, I be there even if I don't get my convention stuff. (Although I did get my ticket to the Hall of Fame Awards dinner in the mail today.)

We are leaving CR area about 1-2 p.m. on Friday... don't plan on returning until Sunday late morning or afternoon.

Wife is having some health problems and that will be the decider. Right now we are planning on going but......
Got a feeling that we may have an impromptu meeting of a sort. I'd suggest someone grab a table at lunch and put up a sign that says something about DU and we can gather like moths to a flame.

...though I don't know how any of y'all will be able to identify me, lol.
