Penny for your Thoughts (SCC)
July 15th will be the first official meeting of the full SCC (with all the newly elected folks present). We have been sent a packet of information and have been asked to indicate our sub-committee preferences. I'd like your input as I make my choice.

There are three committees: Operations - Party Building - Policy & Programs

Operations: budget, fundraising, fiscal procedures, personnel policies/procedures, strategic planning

Party Building: affirmative action and outreach, coordinated campaign planning, other party-building activities, IDP services to county level, communications & technology plans

Policy & Programs: Delegation Selection Plan, caucus to convention planning, IDP services to candidates, maintenance of bylaws, program planning

-----

Given my background in marketing, writing, graphic design, etc. I'm leaning toward Party Building, but I'm open to any thoughts others might have. (Both the strategic planning from Operations and the program planning from P&P interest me as well.)

1. I LOVE that you are going to be SO involved
and have given us the opportunity to be part of your plans.

I think you being involved where you feel strongest is the smart way to go. There will be others who feel they have strengths in other areas, so it will all even out.

Check your mail, I PMd you about one issue that is bothering me but not for public consumption.

d.

3. Sorry
SCC = State Central Committee

You're not a dumb ass, I'm an idiot for assuming everyone here was a mind-reader. :)

5. Sorry, my ESP was off.
And as for PR experience (something I have a bit of as well), just make us as visible as possible. Make us all look good. Save the GOP-bashing for later, and portray us as the ones who know what's best for America.
