1. out of town, unfortunately
Heck, I freaking *work* at UMass, but I won't be around. I have to go to Ohio this weekend.

Say hi to the folks from the Graduate Employee Organization (UAW Local 2322) if you see them! They're going to be flyering outside.

2. Oh come on
I'm 600 miles away at the moment, and I'LL be there. So no excuse.

;-)

I'll definitely say hi to Local 2322.

4. whaddya think?
I thought the pledge of allegiance with folks that are new Americans was really cool. Made me think of America as a beacon of hope in a time when things seem really screwed up.

Energized me a little bit about my city committee getting organized and stuff.

The sessions themselves could have been a little better organized and allowed a little more interaction.

Nice to see so many dems on such a beautiful day!!!!!

5. I had a good time!
It was my first one, I enjoyed it.

I thought the pledge with the new citizens was great, too. :)

I thought Cam Kerry did a good job. Were you at the session where Ed Markey spoke? He was FANTASTIC! I went to that session, the media session, and the GOTV session. I enjoyed the media session. GOTV kind of bored me, I think I was ready to go home by then.

6. my first too
My wife and I both went as delegates, she went to the young person's, and I (older) went to the grassroots sessions.

Ed Markey is my rep, good guy, hope he runs for Sen. Kerry's seat when he's no longer senator, he's a good sox fan tambien. It may shake up Mass. politics a little when Kerry is elected, everyone moves up.

I run a little bit towards the DLC side of things but we are all members of one big Dem family trying to get our folks elected. I was there more to see the boring methodological part of politics, I got some good ideas for our city website and some local operations.
