I was unemployed all of 2003. I started having taxes taken out of me starting in March. I mailed my fed and state taxes back in March with the regular forms - refunds for both.
I got my fed back in a couple weeks later. I just got my state one today. It took a bit because I miscalculated my tax rate; they adjusted it and I got a bigger refund!
