Marty Meehan "bring troops home from Iraq" mtgs Hudson & Concord Saturday
by email

Dear Friend,

I would like to invite you to join me for a Town Meeting on the war in Iraq on Saturday, December 3. I will be hosting two meetings that day:

11:00 am
Hudson Town Hall
78 Main Street, Hudson

2:00 pm
Concord Middle School
Peabody Building
1231 Old Marlboro Road, Concord

Nearly three years after being led into war in Iraq, the United States still does not have a plan to succeed and bring our troops home. The Bush Administration says we should stay the course in Iraq. I disagree. I think we need to do more to give our troops the equipment and protection they need -- and to implement an exit strategy with a responsible timetable to accelerate the training of Iraqi security forces and start bringing our troops home.

This is a crucial time in the national debate. As Congress continues to consider how to proceed in Iraq, it is critical that we have an open, honest, community-wide discussion on how to return Iraq to the Iraqi people. I am interested in sharing some thoughts with you and I'd like to hear what you have to say.

I hope you'll be able to come this Saturday. Please RSVP by sending me an e-mail at meehan.tm@mail.house.gov or calling my Lowell office at 978-459-0101.

Sincerely,

Marty Meehan

1. Impeach *
The crowd responed loudly and enthusiasticly for calls for the House to impeach *.

I suggested that some dems with spine introduce a privilidged resolution of impeachment.

Marty dodged the suggestion.

He's just interested in writing letters and passing hot air.

Spineless.

2. This shows Murtha was correct that "the public is way ahead of us
(meaning Congress)on this (meaning on Iraq)"

I also think people would be receptive to impeachment

Or is it because we live in Mass?

My comment to Dem Congressman?

Lead, follow or get out of the way on this - this road B* took to get us to Iraq leads to impeachment

FACE IT
