2. I put it under "commerce"

How can anyone in their right mind provide retroactive immunity for unconstitutional and obviously illegal behavior like this?

3. I kept it short, simple, and civil:
Dear Senator Klobuchar,

Please consider joining Senator Chris Dodd in his opposition to possible immunity from prosecution for the Telcom companies.

No person or entity should be above the law, regardless of wealth or power.

Thank you,

6. I did mention in my note that
one the ads she ran when running for the Senator metioned that she did her job as County Attorney "without favor".

7. Excellent point to include!
I was trying to figure out how to tie in her experience as a prosecutor, but, as so often happens, words failed me.

8. Don't forget to contact Coleman. He knows he's an accidental one termer.
But I don't expect much from Klobuchar. She has been nothing but a hideous disappointment to me.

10. Yes, best to always try - with Klobuchar, and even with Coleman
I have an acquaintance who's a dedicated and hard-working local peace activist. She makes it a point to always include even Coleman in her letters, initiatives, etc. And, on those rare occasions when Normie does the right thing, she makes sure to write a letter of thanks. She (and I) figure that even a bad dog should get a biscuit for doing a good trick.

We also figure Normie is sort of an unprincipled chameleon, and he knows what a tenuous grip he has on his senate seat. That means there's always a slim chance that he can be pressured into voting the way the folks back home in Minnesota want him to on an issue now and then.

There are limits to this philosophy, though. I don't think either of us have ever bothered wasting ink and paper on our congressional rep, Michele Bachmann.

11. I'm so sorry to hear that your Rep. is Bachmann.
In regards to the Teeth from Brooklyn, I agree, he knows he was the accidental Senator, and that his days in Wellstone's seat are numbered.

9. Good luck
After her vote on The Protect America Act, I'll be surprised if she supports Dodd or if she votes against granting immunity.

Did someone say disappointment?
