How would've you responded had you seen this Bumper Sticker?
A co-worker's daughter went out Sunday morning breakfast rolls (Mom's day and all) and returned visibly upset. Outside the roll shop was a car with the following bumper sticker:

Wellstone is dead, get over it.

Just when I think we have seen the worst side of humanity, someone turns over another rock. :eyes:

2. Kinda callous, but we DO tend to bash the Republicans' heroes...
...is it so astonishing that they bash ours?

6. I bash with happy abandon but I've never wished anyone dead
much less pasted a sticker on my car gloating over somebody's death.

Fortunately, that sort of thing backfires. That car probably leaves dozens of ex-Republicans in its wake.

8. exactly, my point is that somethings are too much
reveling in the tragic death, a life cut short way too soon, is despicable.

9. Leave a note on the car
which says something like, "Maybe I'll get over it when I get over the 2000 election being stolen" Hopefully that will be November 3, 2004.

10. I know people who have seen it around
it's disgusting and in piss-poor taste. And I think it would be even lower if us DFLers countered their bad taste with bad taste of our own.

It just goes to show how low the Republican party in Minnesota is willing to stoop.

13. Key their car...
But be ethical. Key the bumper sticker, leave the rest of the car alone.

I really don't know what to say, I can't find the words to respond to this ultimate example of pure, unfettered, vulgarity.

Disgusting degenerate pigs. (I'm curtailing my desire to use more colorful language... isn't easy...)

On edit, additional: Indeed, what if we printed a bunch of "Reagan is dead, get over it" in retaliation? He's been braindead for 25+ years...

15. There are some that are even worse.
I'd rather not quote them here, but they make it quite clear they have as little respect for Paul Wellstone as they did for his opinions.

.... turns up some of that trash.

"Auntie Pinko" even had something about it last year:

My bit of advise to whomever sees these stickers - take down the license plate. You can then find out who the vehicle belongs to, and possibly who they work for (if a Rep, etc.)

If it is a known Rep. or member of staff - call the newspapers, or write a letter to the editor.

Heck, I'll even throw up a web page with a big list of these dirtbags. It's a good thing to expose the slimeballs for who they are rather than allow them to hide behind anonymous articles in the newspaper...

19. Behemoth SUVs are not genuine Muscle Cars!
No true owner of a classic muscle car would defile his work of art with a political bumpersticker.

Yep, on the back end of their car near the Jesus fish. I don't know who it is, but I'm hoping one of these days to see them by their car so I can point out the contradiction.
