Sulzer v. Ney
Anybody have insights on the race against Bob Ney? If he is indicted soon, that's got to be a premier race in the state. All I have heard about Sulzer is that he was Mayor of Chillicothe. Anything else? Is he a good campaigner or fundraiser? Is there a good Dem organization in the 18th?

2. I worked the 18th
With the Anderson campaign last election, mostly in the guensey and Muskingum county area, and you would think that John Glenn's old stomping grounds would be able to stay blue, but no its very conservative. Any Democrat who runs there is going to have a very very rought time of it. But its not all bad, with Ney getting busted for Ethics vilolations it makes it a little easier for us to take back the seat, if you know anyone or live anywhere near it and want to see this place go Blue volunteer and slip a little money their way, against Ney and him having time to build a warchest, it'll be a tough race to win.

3. It will be tough
We need to polish our message and sharpen our attack skills. We know that Ney will attack; we must be ready to answer. Yes, Ney has the gerrymandering advantage, but he is vulnerable this year.

4. The reason Guernsey and Muskingum are red is simple
its because for years the Democrat parties in those counties were corrupt and lazy. This year in Guernsey County we finally got a good team together to lead our local Dem's and we had a very good year. In fact membership in my local Dem party is up over 50%. Guernsey can go blue if the people are shown that the Dem's of the state care about everyone and not just Dem's in Columbus and Cleveland. Because that is a perception that a lot of independents in my home county of Guernsey have. This could be a big year if our Dem's come together and talk to everyone! Good luck to all of our canidates this year!
