Does the PD's Kevin O'Brien actually get paid to write this crap?

I have sent him a few missives about his disconnected theses. (Telling him he should enlist and go to Iraq was probably a bad idea if I ever want to get published.) He has gone off the edge again with this sociopathic string of gop bromides that he heard at a years' worth of Cuyahoga County GOP party cocktail hours.

Random verbal spittle that will have to serve as a thesis statement for K-Ob:

Oh, yes, it's true that I'm too lazy - or maybe just too sane - to stand out there in the freezing cold, atop a rickety ladder, chipping enough ice out of the gutters to get the lights hooked up.

It's also true that I could have followed the example of some of my neighbors - shamelessly ambitious overachievers that they are - and gotten this essential bit of decorating out of the way before Thanksgiving. Then I, too, could be snug and smug by my hearth, listening for the merry music of gutters detaching and crashing to earth.

But the record will show that I was entitled to two warm mid-December days that I am not getting this year.

I'm blaming global warming , because it explains anything and everything.
