3. Noe! bluestateguy is saying they are ALL related to Taft.
Middle names serve a useful purpose. We should use them freely. Taft, Noe, Coingate, Corrupt should all be used interchangably when speaking of the opposition.

6. I like it! Catchy!
Use for Petro, Montgomery, etc. also.

OT, We have to keep Petro in our sights. R's have managed to gain and stay power in Ohio by using the news media to steal votes from Dems in northern Ohio Dem strongholds, especially NE Ohio. They've used candidates like Voino, Petro, Montgomery, and Taft to paint a soft, moderate image. I anticipate they'll do the same with Petro in the gov race.

Conservative and DLC Dems in NE Ohio have openly and actively supported Petro and Montgomery in the past - their activities bear watching and we need to keep a priority on linking Petro & Montgomery to Taft & Ohio GOP scandals.

IMHO, Blackwell isn't a viable candidate for governor, and the GOP knows it. But he will serve as a great diversion for Dem attacks.

7. Oh it will be a bloody Repub primary here in Ohio
Here are the strategy predictions from me:

Petro - going with God....will scare people

Blackwell - going with God even bigger . . . the preacher PAC has already endorsed him, forcing Petro into the Go With God mode...he will let the preachers scare people...right now, Blackwell has the upper hand over Petro without even spending a DIME. Also, Kenny boy was promised the job (IMO) by the Bushies for his hard work in November 2004.

Betty Montgomery - if she can stay clear of the ensuing shitfight between Petro and Blackwell, she may get the nod by default...if both Petro and Blackwell cooperate and turn on her.....

My prediction - Blackwell - cause he controls the machines....period

Then, let the constant association with Taft by the Dem strategists begin...there should be NO public satement, release or speech that does not use Bush and Taft in the same sentence as Blackwell's name...ever

8. Actually Blackwell hates Taft.
He's been blasting Taft for years. Of course, it can't hurt us to bend the truth a bit! Yes, I was at a picnic in Columbus a few years ago. A whole bunch of politicians showed up, including Blackwell. Blackwell said, "The best thing about Bob Taft is that in three years he'll be term limited out of office. We need a real Republican in office, not a Democrat-Republican fence sitter like Taft." Yup, Blackwell hates Taft with a passion, as does most everybody else.
