Postal rate change!

I got this email from the main office at work today:

Did you know the U.S. Postal Service is changing its postal rates on Monday, May 12th?
A First-Class Mail stamp will be 42¢.

That means if you are mailing your ballot on or after Monday, May 12th, be sure your stamp is for 42¢. We want to be sure every ballot is received and counted!

So I checked it out. It's true. I was probably supposed to know this already. :blush:

What kind of timing is that, to schedule the day for an increase at a peak time for mailing in ballots?

I'll put two stamps on mine.

2. Elections Office will cover the pricing difference

I heard yesterday morning on Thomn Hartman's show when he had a rep. addressing this problem.

5. I do that when I've waited too long, and I'm not sure it will get there in time.

I've made up my mind on most of what's on my ballot, earlier this time.
