Write Your Senators
And tell them NOT to support The Prez's Social Security "Reform".

Rick Santorum:

http://santorum.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAction=ContactInformation.ContactForm&CFID=5233211&CFTOKEN=77887863

Arlen Spector:

arlen_specter@specter.senate.gov

Ask them how much it will cost, what will the government guarantee, ask them where the 15 trillion over 45 years will come from and make it known you don't want the same companies that don't care about your future having stakes in your socially contracted insurance benefits.

1. Be happy to...any templates on this issue?
Before I write, I would like it to be more than just a "as a resident of PA blah blah blah".

It would be wonderful if someone knows of a developed template re: the SS proposal with valid facts in opposition/alternative options for consideration???

2. A warning...
Contacting Specter through email is WORTHLESS. I've emailed him twice and got a complicated form email back both times. It was exactly the same and didn't even acknowledge what I wrote about.

Here's the "AutoResponse" that I got...

5. Specter/Santorum
All of my recent emails to Specter have bounced back. Not sure what's going on there. If nothing else, I'm keeping an aide busy in Santorum's office stuffing envelopes. I get pretty much one bland form letter from him a week justifying his stance on the issues I complain about. Hopefully a Dem will give him the boot in 2006. I read in Newsweek a few weeks ago that Santorum thinks he's going to be President. Of course, right after that he said that states should be allowed to outlaw contraception!

6. Ha
Welcome to DU!

Maybe I'll have to try Specter again on something...my earlier post was an email from awhile ago.

I like your thoughts on Santorum and keeping an aide otherwise occupied. Only problem is that all of his letters are at taxpayer expense.

I hadn't heard about the outlawing of contraception, but that is absolutely awful. But what else could a guy with six kids say?

Welcome again!
