Corker asks GOP to pull ad
The Bob Corker campaign late Friday said it is asking the Republican National Committee to pull an ad in which an actress says she met Democrat Harold Ford Jr. a "Playboy party," and later winks and says, "Harold, call me."

"The new RNC ad we have just seen on our local broadcast outlets is tacky, over the top and is not reflective of the kind of campaign we are running," said Tom Ingram, Corker's campaign chairman. "While we cannot legally communicate directly with the RNC regarding ads of this nature, we can certainly do so through the media."

The ad shows a series of man-in-the streets-type interviews. One man in a hunting jacket says, "Ford's right -- I do have too many guns." A woman says, "I'd love to pay higher marriage taxes."

Finally, a swarthy looking guy in sunglasses and a smirk says, "So he took money from porno movie producers. Who hasn't?"

1. Corker will not ask the RNC to pull this ad
The RNC is made up of a bunch of slime balls...Corker is a slime ball...the two go in hand...I hope the voters of TN decide to get off their collective behinds and get to work..they can put a stop to all of this if they have the courage to do it...but sitting back and letting a few do all the work will give us exactly what we have had....The time is now.....help your local party GET OUT THE VOTE....

2. I saw this ad twice before 7 this morning.
Corker had a short clip stating something like, 'as you know it is illegal for me or my campaign to directly contact the RNC who produced this ad'. I want more info. on this because I don't know why it would be illegal to contact the RNC, especially for an ad they produced that you want to have bulled. Doesn't quite smell right to me.

3. I'd bet this is what happened...
Corker was falling behind in the polls so badly that the RNC came up with the tacky ad and told Corker he could denounce it and request it be pulled, but the RNC would continue to play it. (wink wink) This way Corker could look good by asking them to pull the ad and yet enjoy the benefits (if any) it reaps. HOPEFULLY, people will see through this crap.

GO FORD!!!

4. Did you see Corker on CNN?
He and Ford were being interviewed. Ford protested that Corker's campaign was attacking his family, and Corker just sat there smirking like the cat that ate the canary. He portrayed Ford as being off-the-wall for disrupting Corker's news conference the other day, but said nothing about being displeased with the attack ad.

Corker is a lying scumbag. I'm amazed that the story about the backroom deal to build a road through a protected nature preserve, personally enriching Corker when he was Chattanooga mayor, hasn't sunk his campaign. Not to mention the various other scandals he's implicated in. I guess the liberal media are too busy covering the Madonna adoption scandal to worry about Bob Corker's little misdemeanors.

The RNC has finally agreed to pull the egregious "Harold, call me" ad, trying to pretend both that they're innocent and that they have integrity. Really all they are is desperate to send another Republican crook to Washington.

5. Ad still playing in Chattanooga?
I've heard it is still playing on the Fox station in Chattanooga, and that it was last seen today. Anyone seen it?
