I just read one of your posts that said you live outside of San Antonio. Hey, we're neighbors!!!!:hi:
A lot of us are native Texans. I am a native San Antonian. I have lived here all my life except for going to UT in Austin and being in the military for two years. I think that a lot of us are sensitive (maybe too sensitive about Texas bashing.) Despite the politics of the state, I love Texas dearly. I love San Antonio. Haven't you been able to sense the rich cultural diversity of this city? The culture of this city is inbred in all of us regardless of our ethnicity. I mean, Christmas would not be Christmas without tamales. :)
I think that in San Antonio there is a deep respect for all people. I honestly believe that in San Antonio all of us are able to get along regardless of status, cultural background or political viewpoint.
Where do you live? Maybe you just need to get into the city more. :)
Are there bad people around? Sure. There are bad people everywhere.
Do all of us want to change the politics of this state. YES!!!! And it will come. I admire you for all the work it sounds like you are doing for Democrats. You do have to watch out for blisters, though. That is not good.:)
And don't knock all churches. I go to a large Methodist church here (University Methodist) which does a lot of good things and which is not a fundy church.
So, let me give you one of my toasts.:toast:
