Nothing else matters now.
In his press conference this morning George W. Bush declared that he's gonna do what he's gonna do and dared the country to stop him. Most of us realized in December 2000 that he had seized power in a superficially legalized coup d'etat. All that we predicted then has come to pass. Suppression of civil liberties, war, economic depression, right-wing judicial appointments, and now it culminates in an open, blatant assertion of executive power to override the Constitution as he sees fit. Dear friends, Caesar has crossed the Rubicon. The people of Rome were not able to save their republic 2100 years ago. It falls upon us, right now, to follow through on the new paradigm inserted into the world by the signers of the Declaration of 7-4-76. It falls upon us now to save this republic and its Constitution. Every issue you care about depends on it. Nothing else matters now.

1. Thom Hartmann did a great job this morning drawing
the parallels between today's Dubya press conference and Nixon's where he too declared the right to spy upon citizens.

6. Your computer "hates" pdfs because you don't have the *FREE* reader.
Adobe gives the reader away free. Here's the download page:
